SLR Battery


The Yuasa SLR1000 is an advanced Nano-Carbon Deep Cycle VRLA battery and is deployed in high capacity cyclic cells for variety of large energy storage applications. The modular unit design provides easy installation and reduced site space. Modular unit construction has front facing terminals for easy maintenance, even in large energy storage solutions.

The SLR1000 is an Advanced Lead Acid battery featuring nano-carbon enhanced negative grids. This technology provides efficient charging, high capacity retention and less risk of sulfation.

Long Design Life

The expected design life is 5500 cycles in cyclic applications at 25°C (50% DOD).

Sealed Construction

Yuasa’s unique construction and sealing technique ensures that there is no electrolyte leakage from case or erminals can occur,even in the harshest conditions.

Electrolyte Suspension System

All SLR batteries utilise Yuasa’s unique electrolyte suspension system that retains the electrolyte in the separator material to deliver greater performance.

Low Maintenance Operation

Due to Yuasa’s sealed construction and the recombination of gases within the cell, the battery is almost maintenance free (no topping up).


The separators used are made from a microfibre glass mat material which provide physical insulation between the plates, thus preventing inter-plate short circuits and significantly reducing the shedding of the active material allowing for greater long-term energy delivery.


All Yuasa lead acid batteries have the potential to be recycled.  In most cases, better than 90% of Yuasa lead acid batteries can be recycled. For further information on Century Yuasa’s recycling program, please visit the Recycling section.
